The first oceanarium in the CIS appeared in 2003 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. It is immediately entered the Guinness Book of Records as the farthest from the sea. The miracle in the steppe expanses of our country is one of the main attractions of the capital and the pride of Kazakhstan. The Oceanarium is visited by more than half a million people a year from different countries. It has become a favorite place for shooting feature and documentary films, TV programs, interviews. The Astana Oceanarium is 20 years old. Many large predators, brought to the opening of the center, live here until now. This is facilitated by well-coordinated and professional work of the department of aquarists, ichthyologists, divers, and the oceanarium’s own laboratory. Each employee of the oceanarium is a highly qualified specialist in his/her field, but above all they are people who love what they do.
